Cleaning Custodial Facilities For HM Prison Service

Our latest project, based in South West, has us improving the health & wellbeing of offenders in HM custodial facilities in the region. 

Once such facility oversees the detainment and care of young people “likely to be amongst the most troubled and troublesome in the country”. Their care and education are paramount and this means that their accommodation and facilities must meet strict government guidelines. 

The facility is undertaking an ongoing programme of upgrades and improvements to its facilities. We have been tasked to deliver ongoing support whilst they complete their works at the unit.

Simply Cleaning’s goals are to improve the environment, health and wellbeing of the offenders at the facility. We ensure that the hygiene standards of the accommodation quarters are of the highest of standards (especially during this pandemic) by minimising the risk from infectious disease (coronavirus Covid-19) through regular, comprehensive sanitising cleans to the facility. 

Our ability to respond at short notice and to meet high standards of work was of utmost importance to this facility – this was no exception though, we deliver to beyond expectations every time! 

Originally tasked to improve the standards of the bathrooms within each of the offenders’ rooms, this has now expanded to the communal and other areas within the custodial facility – as our quality standards have far exceeded the managements expectations from day one.  

What this project involves:

• Removing mould from bathroom ceilings and walls
• Descaling the taps, showerhead, and toilet
• Cleaning/sanitising bathroom tiled walls
• Cleaning/sanitising bathroom tiled floor
• Cleaning/sanitising the sink 
• Cleaning/sanitising the toilet 
• Cleaning the bathroom mirror 
• Cleaning/sanitising and removing graffiti from the bathroom door
• Cleaning/sanitising the bedroom
• Vacuuming the bedroom floor 
• Mopping the bedroom floor
• Vacuuming the corridors and communal areas 
• Painting the bathroom ceilings and walls
• Touchpoint cleaning

Our team come equipped with additional PPE (personal protective equipment) to protect themselves, staff and offenders from the risk of coronavirus – a concern for many of us at this time.

We have previous experience cleaning for HM Prison Service and understand the security measures required to ensure the safety of everyone at these facilities.
